Three Champions Crowned at USA High Performance Championships

AUSTIN, Texas (July 23, 2005) – Three new champions were crowned at the USA High Performance Volleyball Championships Saturday night at the Palmer Events Center. In the Junior Division gold championship match, USA Red defeated USA Blue in a battle of USA Volleyball training teams, 25-18, 26-24, 26-24. In the Youth Division gold championship final, USA Red defeated Lone Star YNT Blue in straight sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-17. The Aloha Region captured the top spot in the High Performance Division thanks to a 25-22, 25-12, 26-24 win by Aloha Juniors HP over North Texas HP Blue in the gold championship match. More

Semifinals Set for Final Day of USA High Performance Championships

AUSTIN, Texas (July 22, 2005) – Saturday will be a Red, White and Blue day in the Junior Division of the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships at the Palmer Events Center. All three of USA Volleyball’s training teams – USA Red, USA White and USA Blue – advanced to Saturday’s gold bracket semifinals of the Junior Division tournament after finishing pool play ranked in the top four spots of the standings. In the Youth Division, Team Florida YNT, Kaepa Team HR Youth, Lone Star YNT Blue and USA Red all advanced to Saturday’s gold championship semifinals with wins in their quarterfinal matches on Friday. In the High Performance Division, Aloha Juniors HP, Team Florida HP, Lone Star HP Red and North Texas HP Blue reached Saturday’s gold championship semifinals by posting quarterfinal wins on Friday. USA High Performance Championship Playoffs Begin Friday Afternoon

AUSTIN, Texas (July 22, 2005) – The playoff rounds of the 2005 USA High Performance Volleyball Championships begin Friday afternoon at the Palmer Events Center. A total of 53 teams have been competing in three divisions since the tournament started on Wednesday, July 20. The field consists of teams sponsored by Regional Programs of USA Volleyball, select USA Volleyball training teams and teams from Brazil and Canada. The tournament concludes on Saturday night. More
