There are forty Regions of USA Volleyball across the US. Each of these Regions has the option of operating a "regional arm" of the National High Performance Program. These Regional Programs can hold athlete tryouts, run camps and enter competitive regional teams into the US High Performance Championships held in mid-late July of each year.

Regional HP Programs are separate and distinct from the National HP program. However, the National Program offers guidance and assistance to these programs to ensure that certain standards are met and that coaching staffs are well versed in training principles and methods of the US National Team.

These programs have grown, developed and evolved in recent years in response to the interests of athletes, regions and coaches. This year, the US High Performance Championships competition has been divided into higher and lower divisions, similar to club and open divisions at Junior National Championships. The purpose of this change has been to maintain the international style and format of the tournament and to offer Regions to the opportunity to be successful within two separate levels.

In 2006, USA Volleyball will be instituting the first-ever Boys US High Performance Championships. This tournament will include US boys’ teams from the USA National Select Camp and the Youth A2 Camp. It will also include 2-4 Regional boys teams and 1-4 international participants. Tentative dates for this tournament are July 26th -29th. The host city has not yet been finalized.

The Event Host will arrange airport transportation from Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International to and from the Sheraton Yankee Clipper, The Grande and Bahia Mar. Reservations for July 18 & 23 are required by contacting AJ Joseph at josephaj1@aol.com.
