INTERNATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Nate has played internationally in Indonesia and Portugal. 2005 – Competed for the
United States at the 2005 World University Games in Izmir, Turkey (Aug. 11-21).
COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: Meerstein was a three-time First Team All-East Selection and was tabbed an AVCA First Team All-American in 2005 as a middle hitter. 2006 - In 2006 he recorded 13 blocks in the upset-win over No. 1 UC Irvine to advance to the national championship match for the first time in 11 years, and also led the Nittany Lions with a .477 hitting percentage for the season. He ended his career attacking at a .499 clip, good for second in the Penn State annals, and also owns two of the top three single-season hitting percentage marks in Nittany Lion history. He also ended his career ranked third in total blocks (456) and second in block assists (413). 2005 – Named First-team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)… Ranked second nationally in attack percentage with .521 and 10th in block average with 1.41 per game…Averaged 3.81 points per game overall, including 2.97 kills per game…Ranked fifth on Penn State's career blocking list and compiled at least five blocks in 18 matches including 10 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Final. 2004 – EIVA Championship All-Tournament team…First team All-EIVA... EIVA Player of the Week…Hit .515 for the season, good for second on the team and in the nation... Hitting percentage mark also was ranked second in Penn State single-season history ...
