Parents are Tony and Cheryl Hildebrand… Has one sister, Rebekkah, 25… Attended Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz., from 1999-2002 and lettered in four sports: basketball, golf, volleyball and baseball... Attended Long Beach State University from 2002-2006 and has a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology… Tyler has had four major knee surgeries… Favorite food is watermelon… Favorite book is The Da Vinci Code… Enjoys playing golf… In 2006 and 2007, Hildebrand played on the AVP beach volleyball tour.

World University Games in Daegu, Korea (Aug. 21-31).
COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: 2006 – Hildebrand is first
all-time at Long Beach State with 6,651 assists… He was named first team
All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and first team American Volleyball
Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America for the third consecutive season. Named
the MVP of the UCSB E-Bar Collegiate Classic in January and was the MPSF/Molten
Player of the Week on January 9. His 335 total blocks rank No. 12 all-time at
LBSU, his 625 digs ranks No. 9 all-time and his 77 service aces is tied for
No. 9 all-time. 2005 - Selected first team AVCA All-American, first team
Volleyball Magazine All-American and first team All-MPSF... Averaged 14.03
assists per game on the season, a mark that led the nation... Hit .487
(72-14-119) for the season and averaged 1.26 digs and 0.68 blocks per game...
Led the 49ers to a No. 5 national ranking in hitting percentage at .338...
In MPSF matches, Hildebrand averaged 14.09 assists per game to ranks No. 1
