COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: Nu’u, a 2006 AVCA All-America Third-Team selection playing for the University of Colorado, finished her career at the University of Colorado with a 4,315 assists, third most in school history. As a senior she tallied 1,352 assists for 12.52 per game, 120 kills, 14 aces, 179 digs and 64 blocks while hitting .348 in 108 games. Nu’u earned All-Big 12 First-Team in 2006 and helped the Buffs to an upset of top-ranked and eventual national champion University of Nebraska on Nov. 11, the only loss for the Huskers last season. She completed her CU career ranked 14th in career blocks (243), 30th in career kills (541) and 35th in career digs (573).

What are the top songs in your iPod?
I don’t have one. I have a shuffle. I have a lot of country on it. Doesn’t really make sense I know… a samoan and country music don’t really go together, but I love it!

What kind of car do you drive?
Right now a white camry, but very soon I will be driving a 1989 samuri sazuki—yippee!

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to read, journal, and watch tv.

What do you envision doing as a career after competing for the national team?
After the national team, I need to finish my degree. I only have a semester left! I would really love to get into coaching.

Where would you like to spend a week’s vacation?
I would love to go anywhere with a beach.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I love Colorado!! No where else I’d rather be.

What is your favorite room in your house and why?
The basement is my favorite room. It’s cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It’s always dark, which is superb for sleeping!

What is the one luxury item that you could not do without?
I could not live without a phone. When I don’t have it I feel very out of sorts. What did people do back in the day?!

Any drill that has to do with setting is my favorite drill!

Rascal Flatts all the way!

Christmas- I love having all of my family together. It’s the best!
