COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: Busboom moved from setter to libero in 2006 and helped lead Nebraska to its third NCAA Division I national title as the top-ranked team wire-to-wire. Along the way, she set a school single-season record with 580 digs in 2006 and was named Big 12 Co-Libero of the Year with a conference-high 5.04 digs per game. She totaled a career-high 29 digs in the NCAA semifinals against UCLA on Dec. 14, 2006. Busboom, a four-year starter who helped NU to a 124-10 record, was selected AVCA All-Central Region honorable mention as a setter during her sophomore campaign. She was plugged into a 6-2 system as a junior in leading the Huskers to a national title match in 2005. In 2003, she tallied the second-highest total assists (700) by a Husker freshman after splitting time in a 6-2 offense.

What do you envision doing as a career after competing for the national team?
It seems like there are about a million things I want to do, but my first pick would be an anchor or sideline reporter for ESPN, other than that maybe sales, or maybe something to do Internationally

Where would you like to spend a week’s vacation?
Europe ANYWHERE in Europe
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Probably Spain or Hawai'i
What is your favorite room in your house and why?
I love the living room at my parents house…we can all fit in it comfortably, it has a fireplace, and I can always find someone to rub my feet!!
What is the one luxury item that you could not do without?
A really nice pillow

My new favorite is Ugly Betty
Are you a morning person, afternoon person or night person?
I think I am a morning, afternoon, and night person…I am not a big sleeper because sometimes I feel like it is wasting precious time
On an airplane, would you rather, sleep, read, work on a computer or talk with the person sitting next to you?
My first pick would be sleep so the time would go fast, but if the person sitting next to me was cool…then I am definitely a chatter
What is your favorite volleyball drill?
Anything that involves competition, one of my favorites is 5 on 5
What sport would you be competing in if not for volleyball?
I would probably be giving softball a try
What is your favorite food?
Mexican food…I can never turn down nachos
What is your favorite restaurant to eat at?
If I have the opportunity, I love going to a great seafood restaurant on the coast
What is your hometown best known for?
Well my hometown has a population of 400 people so it’s known for being small…but it actually won the Hometown of the Year award a few years back…that was pretty cool
How many different languages can you converse in?
I am getting a little better at Spanish but I couldn’t answer or ask EVERY question
What was your favorite subject in school?
Spanish and English…
If you could see any musical act or performer (dead or alive) in concert, who would it be?
This might be a little crazy but I would love to see Ozzy Osborne at his best
If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Invisible…for many reasons
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you take with you?
I would bring a pillow, my ipod, and sunscreen
If you could live in another time period for a week, which one would you choose?
The 80s because I love the music!
What is your favorite holiday?
definitely Christmas…I love the music, the decorations and the family time

Summer
What are your most prized possessions?
I have a lot of them, but I would have to admit that I can’t go anywhere without the Build-a-Bears that other people have given me…I have a bear, a husky dog, and a gator…they all have special meaning
What is your pet peeve?
One on my biggest pet peeves is chewing with your mouth open or chopping your gum
