REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL ASSOCIATIONS
Regional Volleyball Associations (RVAs) are member
organizations of USA Volleyball (USAV). The RVAs serve as
the grassroots function for the USAV and individually and
collectively serve as a catalyst for USAV functions.
Individual membership in USA Volleyball can be
accomplished through your local RVA. There are many
classifications of membership, including junior, adult, league,
booster and others. Contact
your local RVA for more information.
The primary representative of the RVA is the regional
commissioner, who is elected by the region for a term of office
determined by the region.
Within the regional structure, the commissioner is
ultimately responsible for the total function of the RVA, with
the assistance of the local organization leadership. This
structure is usually comprised of volunteers, each assigned to
a specific task or project. Volunteers from throughout
the region are essential for the development of camps, players,
coaches, referees and scorekeepers. It is accomplished
through sanctioned competition, fellowship play, clinics,
exhibitions and demonstrations. Communication vehicles
such as newsletters, the internet, handbooks and technical
literature serve to keep regional members informed.
Get involved by contacting the
region in your area.
