INTERNATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS: 2008 – Named Best Setter at the NORCECA Girls’ Youth Continental Championship and led team to gold-medal finish, which qualified squad for the 2009 FIVB Girls’ Youth Continental Championship…Averaged tournament-best 2.87 assists per set, in addition to placing 32nd in scoring as a setter with 15 points (7 kills, 3 blocks, 2 aces).

PERSONAL: Born Carly Nicole Thomas on July 12, 1992, in Clayton, Mo.… Parents are Tim and Liz Thomas… Sisters Sara (1986), Emily (1987) and Abby (1989)…Hobbies include listening to music and hanging out with friends… Most admires John Sheehan as he “has been one of my older coaches during my volleyball career. He has helped mold my personality and attitude thus far. Unfortunately, John passed away at the age of 61 this year. I will always remember the advice John would give me even when I knew my attitude needed adjusting. He would give me advice that others would not tell me. I will miss John, and I will continue to play always thinking of him.
