INTERESTING STORY: “I grew up in a family where volleyball is second nature to eating. My Mom-CJ, coached at several colleges when I was younger. So we, my sister and I, were always in the gym. I learned to bump a volleyball at 3 and was in camps and clinics every summer and holiday that I can remember, just hanging out or playing. My sister and I always played outside and we would always end up peppering on the ground, in water, on the trampoline anywhere and everywhere. To us it was FUN! We always wanted to ‘grow up’ and be like Mommy’s team members. The girls were always a part of our lives, they were having fun, playing volleyball and going to school, we never thought it was special it was ‘what people do in college’. I went to my first JO National Tourney in Kansas City at 6 months old; my Mom was coaching Club Palm Beach who qualified. I learned to crawl in the Palm Beach Atlantic College gym, I got my first hair cut in the University of South Carolina Aiken women’s locker room, I lost my first tooth in the USCA gym. I learned to ride a bike in the Florida Community College Jacksonville gym; I have played volleyball on 4 continents (going to Thailand will make 5) and in 12 countries. I am blessed to have had those experiences; my Mom works with Bring IT USA so I have had many opportunities to travel and play volleyball all over the world. I have made many friends along the way and enjoy what we have in common and what we learn from each other. One of my best experiences was, off the court, we went to Nicaragua last summer and we were able to visit an orphanage. Opening our hearts to children that were less fortunate than us was not hard to do. We all left there feeling blessed to have been part of their lives for a day!”
