USA Volleyball Boys' Bid Tournament Season Approaching

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Dec. 18, 2007) - The 2008 USA Volleyball Boys’ Bid Tournament season is near with the first four tournament deadlines rapidly approaching.

The first tournaments of the USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior Olympic Volleyball season will be the Dennis Lafata Gateway Boys’ Festival (St. Louis, Mo.), the Rochester CAN-AM (Rochester, N.Y.), and the SCVA Boys’ Invitational (Anaheim, Calif.) as teams ranging from ages 14-18 and Under attempt to qualify for the USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships in Sandy, Utah in July 2008. While the SCVA Junior Boys’ Invitational deadline has already closed, the SCVA has accepted 215 teams for the 2008 event.

USA Volleyball would also like to announce the Florida Boys Festival, a newly created boys bid tournament co-hosted by USA Volleyball and the Florida Region. This tournament will be held in Orlando at the Champions Sports Complex over a two-day period of January 26-27, 2008.
