MAJOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION:2003 – Mexicali Tournament (training team)…Pan American Games (Bronze Medal)…Texas Tour.

International Highlights:2003 – Earned a Pan American Games bronze medal as a member of the USA national training team in August…Saw action at libero at the Mexicali Tournament in March…Split playing time with Addie Hauschild and recorded 18 digs as Team USA went 4-1 and posted a third-place finish…Beat out Hauschild for a spot on the National Team at the beginning of May and now serves as the backup libero to 2000 Olympian Stacy Sykora.

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: Drury, a 5-5 libero, began her career at Louisville four years ago as a walk-on…She finished her career as a first-team All-Conference USA and All-Midwest Region choice and team captain…During her senior season she set the season (534) and match (39) records for digs this year for the Cardinals, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament…Also competed as a triple-jumper for one year (2000) on the Cardinals’ track and field team.

PERSONAL: Born Sarah Danielle Drury on June 17, 1981 in Louisville, Ky. …Mother is Mary Reichelt…Also has three sisters: Lesley Drury, Leslie Jarboe and Stacey Flatt; and one brother: Scotty Drury…Graduated from the University of Louisville in December 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in business management…The person she admires most is her older sister Lesley, who was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball at Louisville (1998-2001) and earned All-Midwest Region and All-Conference USA honors as a senior.
