Torri Campbell - Amarillo Elite Volleyball
Torri Campbell, who participates in the USA Volleyball High Performance program in the summer (Youth A2), USAV holiday camps in the winter and plays on Amarillo Elite Volleyball’s 16 National team, has a pretty hectic schedule during the week. She does this on her own design in her quest to someday represent USA in the sport.
In addition to going to attending Amarillo High School during the week and maintaining a 96.52 (4.0) grade point average in AP classes, she puts in her time on the court training to get better in volleyball. She has positional training on Monday afternoon or evenings. Torri has strength and conditioning on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, followed by practice on Thursday. Generally, Friday is an off-day for Torri but occasionally uses the day for personal training. Saturday is positional and team training, while Sunday is filled with an afternoon practice.
According to her father Douglas, Torri has expressed interest in competing in track next year in addition to playing for the defending Texas 5A State High School volleyball champion Sandies. All of this activity does not include the volunteer/church work and social calendar she maintains.
