UC Irvine's Anteaters blended their power game with great defense to beat IPFW 3-1 on May 5 and win their first volleyball national championship. The second-seeded Anteaters (29-5) won by scores of 30-20, 24-30, 30-23 and 30-28. MORE.

There are still a few spaces left for the June 1-3 IMPACT and CAP Level I & II courses in Parma, Ohio! Register NOW to attend this course instructed by Cecile Reynaud (Florida State University), Shelton Collier (Wingate University), Kevin Hambly (University of Illinois), and Don Burroughs (Ohio Valley Region).
There is still time to register to attend the IMPACT, CAP I and, II courses to be held in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the U.S. Olympic Training Center on June 8-9 (CAP II), June 8 (IMPACT Clinic) and June 9-10 (CAP I). Register NOW to attend this course instructed by Joan Powell (Colorado Springs), Penny Lucas-White (US Air Force Academy), John Kessel (USAV Director of Membership Development and Disabled Programs), and Diana Cole (USAV Director of Coaching Education Programs).
Carla Beaudet, who has served as the CAP Administrative Assistant for the past two and a half years, will be leaving her position at the end of May, 2007. She and her family will be moving to Florida, where her husband has accepted a new position. We thank Carla for all her hard work at USAV and wish her luck in her relocation. The 203 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have been invited to submit the name of a city within their jurisdiction as an Applicant to host the Games in nine years’ time.
